Lindsay Tam Memorial Golf Tournament
IN MEMORY OF LINDSAY TAM
The Lindsay Tam Memorial Golf tournament is a charitable event held annually in support of Pancreatic Cancer research, benefiting Pancreatic Cancer Canada.
Our cause was inspired by Lindsay Tam whose journey of battling pancreatic cancer began when she was diagnosed at the age of 20. The graceful strength Lindsay showed throughout her battle is a testament to the courage and perseverance of the human spirit. To face this aggressive cancer with no fear all the while pursuing a law degree at University of Ottawa is not only amazing but inspirational. The optimistic attitude and self-less character she had shown throughout her journey only amplifies the impact she left on all those who were privileged to have met her. Valedictorian of Rick Hansen Secondary School for the class of 2003, Lindsay’s destiny for greatness was evident regardless of her health. Her story has shed a ray of light onto those affected by cancer and even to those who choose to fight against personal challenges.
Sadly, Lindsay passed away on November 4th, 2011 at the young age of 26. Although she is dearly missed, her legacy lives on and will never be forgotten by those she has touched and greatly inspired in so many ways. We hope to continue Lindsay's legacy in the fight against pancreatic cancer for years to come!

Lindsay was passionate about advocating for increased funding. She knew how underfunded research for this disease is, and how invisible it is in the public eye relative to other cancers. You can join the fight by making a donation to support of lifesaving research and the quest for a CURE!
