Lace Up for Anibal Arruda
Through the efforts of family and loved ones, we raised $11,550 in Anibal's memory in 2017
Lacing up to fight pancreatic cancer...
This coming year, thousands of Canadians will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and told there is little hope for survival. I am honouring my late father by joining Pancreatic Cancer Canada in their fight to SAVE LIVES by raising awareness and much-needed funding to support research that will result in new treatment options and better outcomes for patients battling this disease.
Our family and friends, especially our Portuguese friends, remember that Anibal Arruda, despite his fun-loving character, had a spiritual devotion, participating in the “Romeiros” pilgrimage in Sao Miguel on many occasions. He had planned on doing this one more time, but the big “C”sadly prevented him from fulfilling his one last wish.
That is why 'WE', Anibal's family and friends, are walking 10 km on his behalf and creating a tribute fundraising page in his memory. Monies raised will help advance pancreatic cancer research and support patients and their loved ones with a promise of a better tomorrow.
On Saturday September 15 2018, we are walking 10 km from Glen Oaks Cemetery and ending at St. Joseph's Church. Please join us, or donate to this very special cause. 100% of the proceeds are going directly to Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation.
An increase in awareness and an investment in research has made a significant impact in fighting other cancers - resulting in saving many lives. That is what we want for pancreatic cancer patients in the future. Thank you in advance for your consideration and support of our fight to end pancreatic cancer.
