Walk in Memory of Sylvia Drago
It was eight years on Dec. 14 since my wife Sylvia passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. Our family has never forgotten the agony and suffering she went through because of this devastating illness. We have many fond and special memories but the hurt and missing her never leaves our family. It doesn’t get easier over the years.
Our daughters Lisa, Deana, and their husbands Evan and Dean along with our granddaughters Alexa, Zoë, Marika and Mia decided to look at a way to assist physicians and researchers with their work. We all believe it is possible to defeat this awful disease.
A “Go Fund Me Sylvia Campaign with a goal of $50,000 “was launched to help. A magnificent start resulted with over $10,000 being raised during the first 10 days of the launch. Once again we are contacting family, friends, neighbours, businesses and others because we need more of your help to reach our goal and objective. We also ask you to make others you know aware of the “ In memory of Sylvia Drago Pancreatic Campaign “. We have a long way to go to reach the goal. Your help and support is necessary in order to make this campaign successful.
Pancreatic Cancer is a disease with virtually no survival in the past 40 years. Pancreatic Cancer has a 90% mortality rate. The Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation has taken on one of the world's deadliest cancers. The Foundation is aggressively fighting with investments in research aimed at greater understanding of this cancer and for better treatment options. At the same time, the Foundation is concentrating and working to educate physicians about a faster diagnosis along with patients/families to support them as they face the realities of this cancer in their lives.
Will you please join the Drago family in making a difference in memory of Sylvia and to help benefit the
Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation. Remember any and all donations will have an impact.
Our family thanks you.
