7 Days in May (and September!) - Ted Carlton
This my fourth time participating in "7 Days in May", a cycling event and fundraiser founded in 2012 to increase awareness about pancreatic cancer and to raise funds to help find a cure for this deadly affliction.
I am riding in honour and memory of my brother Tim who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2015 and passed away in 2016.
The plan is to return to an in-person ride this year. It is a week long route, starting and ending in Oakville and looping up to Owen Sound and back. There will be about 30 riders on the whole route with many others joining us for part of the loop. I will be riding the first three days before leaving to attend Laura's graduation.
The event has raised over a $1M since it started over ten years ago. 100% of the monies raised are given to the PancOne initiative that is being run by Pancreatic Cancer Canada. All proceeds will be directed towards clinical trials and other studies focused on early detection as well as providing support and education for those impacted by the disease.
Please support me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight for life.
