Welcome to the personal page of Deb McPhadden
I am participating in 7 Days in May, a cycling event and fundraiser founded in 2012 to increase awareness about pancreatic cancer and to raise funds to help find a cure for this deadly affliction.
This is the second year I have ridden with this group of amazing riders. The last time I was riding to support Karen Rae. Her father was diagnosed with this horrible disease and died within 2 weeks of being diagnosed. We cycled 80 km from Whitby to Cobourg with a couple of the team that did the Ride to Conquer Cancer. Karen’s dad was a younger man. I would never have thought that I would be riding for my dad, Chuck McPhadden. My dad died June 22, 2017 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer only a couple of weeks before his 86th birthday. He complained of pain in his back after he had slipped and fallen on some ice one day while going to pick up his daily paper. That was April... he deteriorated quickly. This is an absolutely horrible disease.
This year I will be riding with Karen again for one day from Mississauga to Whitby. Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight for life.
Together we can #EndPanCan!
Thanks for your support in memory of my dad, Chuck McPhadden.
