Welcome to Paul Brown's Fundraising Page
THE RIDE: As you may or may not know, every year I cycle 160kms a day for 7 days in a row to raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer. With Covid-19 ongoing, this year is again different. We will be riding in May/June this year, but now the event is virtual/online. This means that we will be riding as much as we can on our own, and sharing as much content as we can on social media throughout the month of May. Rest assured, we will be encouraging you to donate along the way :)
THE CAUSE: The fact of the matter is that Pancreatic Cancer isn't on hold due to Covid-19. There is still important research that needs to be done to combat this terrible affliction, and 100% of our fund raising efforts go towards supporting this cause.
HOW IT STARTED: The ride - which is called 7 Days In May - was originally started by my friend Gord Townley who lost his Mother to the disease in 2009. Since starting the ride in 2012, the ride has grown considerably and so has the impact it's fundraising has made.
WHY WE DO IT: All proceeds from fundraising for 7 Days In May will be going towards the PancOne™ initiative. PancOne™ is the first multi-disciplinary research partnership between major cancer centres across Canada. The goals are simple: faster diagnosis and more effective treatments for people with pancreatic cancer. A cancer that has a mortality rate of 93 percent, where 75 percent of those diagnosed die within the first year, and is drastically under-funded.
A donation in support of the ride and the cause would be greatly appreciated and would be helping an important cause. Tax receipts for your donations will be issued by Pancreatic Cancer Canada.
Please donate and show your support.

Thank you very much!
