My 7 Days in May Story...
I am participating in 7 Days in May, a cycling event and fundraiser founded in 2012 to increase awareness about pancreatic cancer and to raise funds to help find a cure for this deadly affliction.
I will be joining a group of dedicated cyclists who make the annual 7-Day trek in Ontario to raise vital funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer. We learned from our ride last year and this year we will be doing a brand new course!
This year I am dedicating my ride, and fundraising efforts to the memory of Gina Hutcheson, who lost her battle to pancreatic cancer in 2018. Here are a few words written by her daughter, Toni in memory of her mother:
“Gina was loved by many, and remembered for a lot of amazing reasons, but the one that sticks out the most for me is that she was a great mom. She raised my sister and I in a way that we are proud to carry on through our own children. She taught us how good cooking, and a warm home cooked meal brought our family together!
Thank you to all those donating to the cause of pancreatic cancer as it has impacted my family, along with many others”
As always, I also ride in memory of Jeff "Wheelsman" Vervaeke, who was struck by a car and killed during Day 2 of 7 Days in May 2018.
Please pledge me and help me reach my fundraising goal of $5000.00! Every pledge takes us one step further in the fight for life. #ChangeTheOutcome!
