7 Days in May - The Final Year
Well, we've made it. After ten years, our annual seven day, 1100 km bike fundraiser is coming to an end. I've been involved with 7 Days in May since the beginning, filling both crew and rider roles. I've seen the ride grow from a small family effort to an officially sanctioned Pancreatic Cancer Canada event. I could not be more proud to be involved with such an incredible cause and journey. Because this is our last year, I'm going all out - riding every single day and aiming to raise more funds than I ever have before.
Unfortunately, while we've experienced significant change over the last ten years, the survival rates for people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer have not. Pancreatic cancer remains the deadliest of all adult cancers in Canada. It's also incredibly difficult to detect early on as most people simply aren't aware of the symptoms and severity of the disease.
Through a commitment to donating 100% of all funds raised to crucial pancreatic cancer research, 7 Days in May is working to help change the trajectory. By funding research, more treatment methods become available. By raising awareness about pancreatic cancer's deadliness, more people can have the knowledge to get tested earlier.
If you're on this page, you've likely heard me talk about the importance of 7 Days in May in my life. At this time, I would ask you to (hopefully) make a donation to help us continue the fight against pancreatic cancer. As always, 100% of your funds will go to critical research that paves the way for increased survival rates.
Together, we can make a difference and #EndPanCan!
Thanks for your time.
