Roots joins the fight

Roots is teaming up with TEMPUR-PEDIC^® in a national campaign to put pancreatic cancer in the spotlight. On Saturday April 28th, a national on-line campaign was launched to sell leather awareness bracelets and the Hugs Back Bear. Proceeds benefit Pancreatic Cancer Canada and the fight to end pancreatic cancer.

Teghan Stadnyk lost her mother to pancreatic cancer 2 years ago. "When you're personally affected by pancreatic cancer and lose a loved one, it's difficult to not get involved in the fight. Roots is very enthusiastic on supporting Pancreatic Cancer Canada and raising awareness. I'm fortunate to be able to work for a company that stands behind their employees and believes in making a difference."
 
Many Roots employees have been touched by this disease and want to be involved in helping as much as possible. Their hope is that this campaign will put pancreatic cancer into the spotlight and bring more attention and funding to the much needed cause. Photos - Bloor Store (L) and Yorkdale (R)

There are 3 genuine leather bracelets to choose from. Each bracelet is embroidered with a different message of hope. For a limited time, they are available online and in select Toronto Roots Store Locations - Downtown - Bloor, Yorkdale, Eaton Centre, Sherway Gardens, Rosedale- Dupont/Yonge and The Lodge - Blythwood/Yonge.Bracelets are $10 each.
